The City of Killeen has vast experience a long and interesting history gaining its name from Frank P. Killeen the once assistant general manager of the railroad in 1872; it grew slowly to include general stores, gristmills, two saloons, a lumberyard, two cotton gins, a blacksmith shop and a hotel a typical old Texan town.
